THE SCIENCE
Ultrasound is an energy that can be focused and directed, this is used to penetrate deeply into the tissue causing thermal coagulation.

The ultrasound energy is directed to a small focal point in the skin, where it vibrates tissue and creates friction between molecules, this creates heat energy leading to elevated temperatures of around 65°C in the subcutaneous tissue, causing thermal coagulation and initiating the tissue repair process.

A rapid healing process is stimulated from the tissue damage, immediately causing chains of new viscoelastic collagen to form. This promotes the lifting and tightening of the targeted skin area.

Clinical evidence suggests that the dermal collagen and elastic fibres are drastically increased in number, causing a thickening of the dermis. The rejuvenation and production of collagen continues for up to three months after the treatment, and the skin lifting effects will continue for well over a year.
